SCUBA BSA (Discover Scuba Diving) Partial Day

SCUBA BSA (Discover Scuba Diving) Partial Day

Introductory SCUBA Program - Non-Certified Divers - Half Day Experience (~2-3 hours)

Are you taking other merit badges, like the ocean, and want to check out some of the best diving in the world?

For only a few hours of your time, you can explore the underwater world through SCUBA BSA. The SCUBA BSA program provides an opportunity for scouts to try diving without committing to a full week of instruction. Designed as an experience only program, SCUBA BSA is not certification, but allows scouts to experience diving in the ocean (to a maximum depth of 40') with a minimum investment of time and money. Scouts must be in good health, know how to swim, and bring a bathing suit, towel, and shoes that can get wet. All other gear will be provided. The SCUBA BSA program requires half a day and is an additional charge.

Individuals completing the Scuba BSA requirements qualify for a BSA recognition card and patch. National Boy Scout guidelines are available for download.

COST: $125; additional dives are available $50 each.
MINIMUM AGE: 12 years old and up. (National BSA Policy)
REGISTER: with Malibu Divers, starting in March.  You can email us or call us (310) 456-2396 to signup.
National Scout Policy - you need to download and complete the documents in the brochure file and Medical form and bring them to Camp in order to participate.

Once you arrive at Camp, go to the Dive Locker and we will schedule your program based upon your schedule.  You should meet with our staff to arrange for a time to go diving that does not conflict with your other activities.  Programs are limited and will be filled based on "first come, first served basis".

We also have NEW Partial Day non dive Specialty Certification Programs such as Project Aware Specialty, EFR (CPR & First Aid), and Oxygen Administration.
